Our school was built in the eighties. It was inaugurated on the 23rd of February 1984 .
A marble target in the hall reminds us that day.

The school is called after  Gianni Rodari, a famous poet and writer for children born in 1920 and died in 1980.
He used to be a primary school teacher who wrote many cheerful and funny stories, poems and rhymes. He used to say: “ We can talk about serious things also if we tell cheerful stories”
The school was  built because the other one, the school “Carlo Collodi”, was too small to receive all the children living in the many and many palaces built during the sixties and the seventies in the district. Moreover,  during the seventies the full time school had spread all over Italy, so, they decided to build a full – time school.

Here there are the headteacher office, the Secretariate and the school Library, which we borrow books from.
